🎄 CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING IN NYKØBING FALSTER – LET'S LIGHT UP CHRISTMAS TOGETHER!

There is one tradition that truly marks the beginning of Christmas in Nykøbing Falster – when we gather at Torvet and light the city's large Christmas tree! On Friday, November 20th, we invite the whole family to this year's Christmas tree lighting, where Santa Claus comes to town, Christmas music fills the streets, and together we light both the beautiful Christmas tree at Torvet and the Christmas lights throughout the city's pedestrian street. It is one of the coziest ways to kick off the Christmas season, and we hope that many of you will join us in welcoming Christmas. TODAY'S PROGRAM 4:30 PM – 5:00 PM | CHRISTMAS PARADE THROUGH THE CITY Santa Claus will be accompanied by Nykøbing F. Brandmuseum and Nykøbing F. Garden as they move through the city's streets and march up to Torvet, where we all gather. 5:00 PM | MAYOR'S CHRISTMAS SPEECH Mayor Simon Hansen welcomes Christmas with a speech at Torvet. 5:05 PM | LET'S LIGHT UP CHRISTMAS TOGETHER! Now comes the moment we have all been waiting for! With help from all the children and their families, Santa Claus will light the big Christmas tree at Torvet – and at the same time, the Christmas lights will be turned on throughout the city's pedestrian street. EXPERIENCE THE CITY IN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS Once the tree is lit, take your family by the hand and stroll through the city's streets.
